Custom Table by Craig Dickens
This one-of-a-kind table starts as a
suitcase which can be carried onstage. After
setting it down and releasing the locks, the
performer lifts the case up and the metal
framework unfolds and is able to lock. The
process is reversed at the end of the act
and the table/suitcase can be then carried
off stage. When opened, the case is
approximately 33 high x 12" front to back x
20" left to right x 12" top to bottom. The
condition is very good and an optional drape
is supplied.

In the Doghouse Illusion
Bruce Chadwick - Info from http://www.chadwickillusionfabrications.com/Chadwick_-_Illusion_Price_List/In_the_Dog_House_-_Chadwick/in_the_dog_house_-_chadwick.html
Here is an interesting illusion, and an
excellent example of the custom illusion
work of Chadwick Illusion Fabrications. This
prop was made for Branson, Missouri
Magicians and Animal Trainers Blake and
Angie Walker. Blake wanted a prop
based
upon the old "Run Rabbit Run" effect. In
this stage version, Blake gets a small
child up from the audience to assist him
with his "Vanishing Ball" trick. He
positions the child on the right stage
end of the table. He puts a small red
rubber ball on this same end of the
table, and then holds a large
handkerchief in front of the ball, to
obscure the ball from the child's view.
The audience then sees a small dog come
running out of the red dog house, take
the ball, and run back into the house.
When Blake removes the handkerchief, to
the child, the ball has vanished! Blake
continues vanishing balls, the audience
seeing clearly what is going on each
time, until finally the child becomes
aware of where the ball is going. "Hey,
there's a dog in that dog house" says
Blake. Blake lifts the roof of the dog
house, the four red sides fall down, and
sure enough, there is a dog. However the
dog is a large Dalmatian! The small dog
has changed into a giant sized breed!
Asking $4,750 obo + shipping (has
crate for shipping).

Water Torture Cell
Abb Dickson Collection
featured in The Great Houdini (1976)
Water Torture Cell used in The Great
Houdini (1976). It comes from the
collection of magician and past president of
the International Brotherhood of Magicians,
Abb Dickson, who provided the escape
apparatuses for the 1976 movie.
It is also mentioned in the Doug Henning
biography, Spellbound. Henning came to
Atlanta to examine the cell (and its secret)
when he was preparing to do the feat on his
first TV special.
Gay Blackstone, who served as Sally
Struthers' stunt double and magic coach on
the film, has confirmed that a false metal
front was indeed added to the cell to
balance the lighting during filming.

A look at the making of The Great Houdini:

Replica Chinese
Water Torture Illusion made famous by the
great Harry Houdini. This cell replicates
one of the several cells used by the
magician. Unfortunately, we do not know who
or when this particular cell was built, but
it is fully functional. It comes from the
collection of the world renowned magician
and Former Past President of the
International Brotherhood of Magicians, Abb
Dickson. This cell is mentioned in Doug
Henning’s book “Spellbound”, when Doug
Henning, Charlie Reynolds, Glen Priest and
Dennis Loomis came to Atlanta to see Abb’s
show “Presto”, where after the show, and
everyone was gone, they were treated to the
cells secrets. Doug Henning was about to
perform the trick for his first TV special.
The condition of the cell overall is very
good. Some minor scrapes and scratches that
are easily repaired. The thick glass front
has a small chip in the lower right hand
corner, but the integrity of the glass is
not compromised and is hardly noticeable.
The welds on the cells interior are solid
with no rust. We have not filled the tank
with water, but because of the cells
condition, we believe it capable of holding
water with no problem.
The cells dimensions are 30 X 30 X 79 and
the weight is estimated at 350 lbs.
As a Disclaimer, this illusion is intended
for use by a highly trained PROFESSIONAL
magician. It is an extremely dangerous trick
and use by someone untrained could result in
serious injury or death.

Modern Art - One of a
Kind
Chance Wolf
This is a one of a kind
Modern Art with graphics provided by Chance
Wolf of Wolf's Magic. The illusion is in
good condition and looks fantastic on stage.
It has several custom items not normally
seen on a Modern Art illusion. First this is
truly built for a "one man" show. It's built
for the magician to be cut in half instead
of a girl. It will fit a 180 pound guy
standing 5'11" with no trouble. It has a
"flash track" on the front of it. You can
use it with some fuse to look like you are
being cut with a laser or something. It can
be lit from inside the box so still truly a
1 man illusion. It still has the knife with
it so you can use the more traditional
method if you wish. The illusion also has
the ability to have the legs move when the
front door is open as well. It also has rare
earth magnets to help keep the doors closed
when in use. It has an ATA case that is
pretty beat up but does the job fine
protecting it. The case is yellow and black
and is a "clam shell" type case. The
illusion breaks down for travel. The top box
comes apart with pins (no tools needed) and
the bottom box stays in one piece. Set up
time is probably 5 minutes from case to
performance ready. The illusion has seen
some shows for sure, but still looks and
operates great and always gets a great
reaction!

shipping

Taylor Reed's
Close Up Table
This is a fantastic
table for stage show close up so you don't
have to have a stagehand run around with a
camera to shoot the close up bits for the
audience to watch via video screens.
This also helps cut budget on your crew.
The table is designed
to have an overhead camera for effects like
Matrix and visual effects where your face
and body are not necessary to be seen.
Then, if you want to do an effect where the
audience watches you straight on such as One
to One Hundred Dollar Bill change -
you can simply tilt the camera and it locks
in to place for that type of magic.
Comes with Metal
Frame work and art decor. Comes with
Colson Casters. Note: You will
need your own camera and close up pad.
These cost $2,500 new. Needs to have a
crate built.
Asking: $1,200 + shipping
(To view
larger images, click on each picture. Same
illusion images will load as a group.)
